Join associate historical interpreter Roxanne Jenkins for a special guided tour of the beautiful Smith-Trahern Mansion and learn how it got named “Queen of the Cumberland”.

Built in 1859 for tobacconist Christopher Smith, the home stayed in the Smith family until 1919. Changing hands through the 20s and 302, it was finally purchased by the Trahern family in 1947. The home has been closed since November 2022 and will only be open for Summer 2024, before interior renovations begin later this year.

These tours will focus on the home's ongoing restoration and preservation plans.
