Kids of all ages enjoy the train exhibit and the bubble cave at the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center. Spot sculptural art along the Upland Trail and wind down to the Cumberland RiverWalk. From here, rent a B-Cycle for a quick downtown adventure. Rent a kayak or canoe from Blueway Adventures and see up to 14 miles of rural waterways along the Clarksville Blueway. Or, enjoy a walk, jog or bike ride on the 9-mile paved and scenic Clarksville Greenway. Explore Dunbar Cave State Natural Area. See wildlife, take a hike, enjoy a picnic and learn about the history of the area. Between May and October, experience Historic Collinsville, a living history settlement featuring 18 authentically restored log houses and outbuildings dating from 1830-1870.
Day 2 Visit Fort Defiance Civil War Park & Interpretive Center and learn about Clarksville’s role in the Civil War. Reenactors are on hand for special events during the year. Enjoy a round of disc golf at Rotary Park (where you can also hike or enjoy the creek) or the Clarksville Regional Airport. Virtual Shots offers indoor simulated target and shooting games, or head out to the Montgomery County Shooting Complex for archery and gun lanes. Catch a drag race on weekend nights or enjoy other events like a circus or Christmas lights at the Clarksville Speedway.
